Located along the Cesano river, Montevecchio sits on a hill. It was once an ancient and important castle, and only a few ruins of the structure remain near the old cemetery. In the past, ancient walls contained the settlement that included the noble palace of the feudal family of Fano that gave the village its name. Palazzo Montevecchio was demolished in the nineteen thirties , leaving a small square in its place.
The parish church, dedicated to St. Joseph, with a fine portal from the seventeenth century, houses the Montevecchio family chapel, with stuccos and pleasant frescoes (seventeenth century).
Today in the town the houses are mostly of exposed brick, surrounded by a charming landscape with classic views of the characteristic Marche countryside.
The apartment is independent and near the heart of the town. The house is fully renovated with attention to detail.
The atmosphere will captivate you.
